SAFETY INFORMATION

Riders agree to:

• Ride responsibly and remain alert at all times.
• Obey all traffic laws, signs, and signals.
• Yield to pedestrians and give them the right of way.
• Ride at a safe speed appropriate for traffic and weather conditions.
• Keep both hands on the handlebars whenever possible.
• Avoid distractions, including texting or using a mobile phone while riding.
• Ride only where electric scooters are legally permitted.
• Use bike lanes whenever available and permitted.
• Watch for vehicles, pedestrians, road hazards, potholes, railroad tracks, wet pavement, gravel, and construction zones.

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Carrying passengers.
• Towing another person or vehicle.
• Performing stunts, tricks, or jumps.
• Racing or reckless riding.
• Riding on sidewalks where prohibited by law.
• Riding through flooded areas or deep water.
• Operating a scooter beyond its intended design or weight limit.
• Tampering with, modifying, or disabling any scooter components or IoT equipment.
• Using another person's account or allowing another individual to ride using your account.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or permanent termination of your Rented Air account.

Use caution during adverse weather conditions.

Avoid riding during:

• Heavy rain
• Snow or ice
• Strong winds
• Poor visibility
• Flooding
• Severe storms

Wet or slippery surfaces significantly increase the risk of accidents.

When ending your ride, you must:

• Park upright in a safe and legal location.
• Avoid blocking sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, driveways, doorways, fire hydrants, bus stops, or emergency access points.
• Follow all local parking regulations.
• Take a parking verification photo if requested by the app.

Improper parking may result in additional fees of $10 to $20 dollars or account restrictions.

If you are involved in an accident:

1. Move to a safe location if possible.
2. Call 911 immediately if anyone is injured or emergency assistance is required.
3. Report the incident to Rented Air through the app or Customer Support as soon as possible.
4. Do not continue riding a damaged scooter.

Providing accurate information helps us investigate incidents and improve rider safety.

Rented Air performs regular inspections and maintenance on its fleet. Riders should immediately report any mechanical problems, unusual noises, brake issues, damaged tires, battery concerns, or other safety hazards.

Do not attempt to repair or modify any Rented Air scooter.

Our scooters utilize GPS and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to:

• Locate scooters
• Monitor ride activity
• Detect unauthorized use
• Recover lost or stolen scooters
• Improve fleet maintenance
• Enhance rider safety

Location information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using a Rented Air scooter, you acknowledge that riding an electric scooter involves inherent risks, including the possibility of falls, collisions, serious injury, or property damage. You agree to ride responsibly, exercise good judgment, and assume responsibility for your actions while operating the scooter.

Rented Air reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates this Safety Policy, our Terms of Service, or applicable laws. Riders may also be responsible for damages resulting from misuse, negligence, vandalism, theft, or unauthorized modifications.
